opened today.
At 10:20, two of the hotels were already gone.
My credit card hung for 15 minutes. Amy's has hung for an hour.
It's not 11:40 and the www.ala.org site seems to be completely down.
It's days like these that make me wonder why I still pay my dues!

On Oct 3 all hotels were booked. I"m not feeling warm, fuzzy, or welcome by this situation. Do you want me to haul myself to Philly or not? I called the UR Rochester travel agency and she booked me in one of the conference hotels for about $20 more than the ALA rate. That's worth paying, so I don't have to babysit the ALA list waiting until they open more beds, AND now I can book my flight with hotel confirmed.
Really, really poor planning on ALA's part.
